JACOB BROMWELL

How many companies can say that they've been around prior to the invention of the lightbulb, the telephone, the automobile, and electricity?  Not many but Jacob Bromwell is one of them.  They are the oldest known stainless steel and tin manufacturer in the USA and the 34th oldest continuously owned and operated company in America.  That's a lot of pedigree.

Jacob Bromwell founded his company in 1819 and incorporated it in 1883 as The Bromwell Brush and Wire Goods Company manufacturing and selling shoe and scrub brushes, leather and wood horse shiners, corn poppers, sifters, and an assortment of other products.  If you think of it in terms of American history the California Gold Rush hadn't started and we hadn't yet had a Civil War.  However, his products have been used by pioneers and households alike throughout all these years.  In fact the company estimates that 1 in every 4 American household still owns a Jacob Bromwell product.

By 1910 this company was one of the largest, with over seven factories.  Today they are consolidated to two factories, one in Indiana and the other in Vermont.  It is in these facilities that their workers stamp, bend, machine work, pack and ship their handcrafted products.

They make kitchen and bakeware, camping utilities, flasks, tobacco accessories along with copper pencil and pens.

One of their most iconic products is the classic tin cup which the company supplied during the Civil War.

All of their products are made in the USA with authentic materials all sourced domestically. They make their products the old fashioned way by hand and are guaranteed for life.  That involves hiring people with the appropriate skills which helps to keep our trades alive and people employed. Now that is 100% American.
